No matter how long you’ve been with your partner, whether its two months or two decades. It’s a no secret that planning a perfect Valentines date and coming up with some great ideas requires planning.
To get you into the grove, we have rounded up some fun and creative ways to celebrate love this Valentine’s:
Cooking a special meal with your partner can be extremely romantic. If none of you are good cooks, you can even try out a virtual cooking class — it's a great way to ditch the traditional dinner date for something more hands-on. To make things more interesting you can have a friendly competition in the kitchen by either cooking each other’s favorite meal. Giving each other a mystery basket of ingredients, and see what you can come up with or try and bake the best and most festive Valentine’s Day deserts. Extra points for anything heart-shaped, of course.
Learn something new together
As the old age goes, it’s never too late to learn something new. Whether it is getting creative and enjoying a special Valentine's craft night and making each other a DIY Valentine’s gift.
Or taking up a dance class and learning how to foxtrot, tango of the latest Bollywood moves, just make sure to put on some romantic background music. You'll end the night a little lighter on your feet and full of laughter.
If you’d rather be making your own masterpiece, channel your inner Picasso and take up a paint brush and follow along some YouTube videos at home.
If you fumble a bit while learning to master any of these new skills, just remember you're in it together.
Recreate your first date or favorite date
Take a trip down memory lane by recreating your favorite date, whether that's the first time you went out together or the one where you really fell for each other. Recall everything that you can about that date together and recreate it at home. If you can't go to the same restaurant or the movie theatre, get creative by cooking up the same meal or watching the same movie at home.

Game night
Indulge in your competitive sides with an exciting game night. Put on your coziest pajamas, and grab some snacks and bring out those board games or their counterparts on you iPads and Tabs, and plan a fun game night for your partner. Pick on games specifically made for two players Scrabble, chess card games, jigsaw puzzle, or a Jenga match are always a good bet. Up the ante will a friendly wager or two.
Write love letters to each other.
Take a page from your grandparents and spend time expressing why you love your partner. Make this day even more special by putting into words why your partner means so much to you. Tell them which of their qualities you most admire, how they make you feel, and why you fell in love with them. Not in a note on your phone, and not in an Instagram caption—on a paper, with pen. Get really specific and super personal, for a letter that will become a keepsake. Then, trade letters, or read them out loud to one another.
Watch a Valentine's Day Movie or set up a Movie Marathon
Grab some popcorn, make some cheesy snacks, light a mood-setting candle, open up a bottle of wine, get cozy on the couch and marathon watch all your favorite rom-coms. It's the perfect way to set the mood for some Valentine's night romance. Or, take a totally different route and watch an action or horror movie. Then, get cozy and cuddle up. You can make it extra special by decorating your space with a paper heart wreath, an origami bouquet, and a love letter banner.
There’s nothing like spending precious moments with your partner and being able to create these precious moments in the comfort of your home while doing things, you both will enjoy while make this day even more special.
